From Huehuetl to Hang (Handpan)
"Huehuetl": it´s called one of the ancient and native drums played in American continent.
"Hang": it´s one of the new drums and instruments in actuallity, designed almost 15 years ago in Bern Switzerland by Felix Rohner y Sabina Schärer.
Before i learn to walk and to talk i was surrounded by ancient melodies and rythms due to my family origins; my mother from Tlayacapan Morelos (Nahua people) and my father from Aranza Michoacan (Puhrehpecha people), both cultures has a lot of traditions and that was my principal musical influence since when i was a child.
Mexico (meshico) its a multicultural country and that has mixed everything, inclued music. In this proposal we are mixing time and space through music, maintaining always respect and admiration for the native forms, ways and giving to music the imortance that used to have. o
I decided to call it "kosmomusik" because this music is aimed at all directions of the cosmos, also beacuse it is composed of the elements that sorround us, kosmomusik it is make music with the air, with a drum, with a table, with new tecnologies, ancient and new instruments... rythms and a lot of influences from all over the world.
